Estates Supervisor

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Lead Estates Technician to take on a supervisory role within the estates team of one of the UKs leading independent schools.

The Role

As Lead Estates Technician, you will be the working supervisor responsible for coordinating and supporting a team of estates technicians. You will help to maintain and enhance a diverse and complex school estate, including teaching facilities, sports venues, boarding houses, residential properties, and historic buildings.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will need to balance practical maintenance tasks with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring that the school environment remains safe, functional, and welcoming for pupils, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

Key responsibilities include :

• Leading a small team of estates technicians, ensuring tasks are allocated effectively and completed to a high standard.
• Providing day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and support to staff, developing skills and encouraging teamwork.
• Monitoring performance, workload, and priorities to maintain service standards.
