Salary : £18.57 per hour

Hours : 37 hours per week

Contract : Contract until 24th October 2025

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Safeguarding Officer to play a pivotal role in protecting and supporting students across multiple college sites. You will work closely with staff, external agencies, and the Group Head of Safeguarding to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding practice, in line with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, handling safeguarding concerns and referrals in a timely, effective manner
• Build strong relationships with external agencies such as social care, police, and health services
• Maintain accurate, confidential safeguarding records in line with data protection regulations
• Support the implementation of safeguarding policies, procedures, and ‘Prevent’ initiatives
• This role requires travel between college sites and occasional evening work.
• Deliver safeguarding training and awareness sessions to staff and students
