Behaviour and SEN Support Assistant – Secondary School, Westminster

Hours : Full-time, 5 days a week, term-time only

Contract : Initially fixed-term, with potential for extension

Location : Westminster, Central London

Salary : £95 to £112 per day, depending on experience

Start Date : ASAP or negotiable

Safeguarding : An enhanced DBS check is required for this role

It supports pupils across a wide range of needs, including those with complex behavioural profiles and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The Role

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience or a strong interest in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN. You will :

• Provide 1 : 1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Implement personalised strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and class teachers to support learning and wellbeing.
• Help create a calm and structured learning environment, using de-escalation and restorative approaches.
• Support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.
