A great opportunity has become available working within a UK consortium to deliver the high-profile UK Agricultural Greenhouse Gas & Ammonia Inventory. The Inventory is a constantly evolving model. It requires updating with scientific and other literature, new farming practices, agricultural policy and new and novel agricultural greenhouse gas and air pollution mitigation strategies.

\n\tAn aptitude for learning new software is needed to apply specialised inventory software for reporting and projections of emissions.\n\n\t
\n\tThere is also the chance to work on other projects relevant to mitigating greenhouse gas and air pollutant sources from agriculture. This could vary from scenario development and modelling to measuring emissions in the field.\n\n\t
\n\tThe post will be at postdoc level (Grade D), which would suit a scientific specialist or a postdoctoral scientist. The post is offered on a part-time basis (approximately 30 hours per week) with potential for full time. The post will be located at the North Wyke site of Rothamsted Research, in Devon for 32 months starting in January 2026.\n\n\t
