As part of our dedication to ensuring we deliver the highest quality of service we looking to recruit a Construction Project Management professional to lead and manage our works in the Brighton & Hove area.
Overview of Role
As the project Manager, you’ll oversee the commercial and contractual delivery of construction projects across our Portfolio. You’ll manage external contractors, Council relationships, and internal stakeholders to meet project and contractual obligations. You’ll ensure builds are completed on time, to spec, and within budget, while maintaining a strong commercial grip on contracts and estate matters.
Key Responsibilities
Construction & Delivery
- Manage construction projects from end to end ensuring timelines, budgets and specifications are met.
- Lead contractor selection, appointment, performance, and compliance, including H&S, CDM 2015 and NRSWA.
- Maintain build and installation specifications, technical data, and site information across internal systems.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams to align build with business goals.
- Work with Site Inspectors to ensure installation readiness and remedial actions are tracked and resolved.
Contract Management
Maintain full understanding of all contractual obligations with councils and partners.Monitor contract performance, raise risks early, and recommend solutions.Validate that construction delivery aligns with estate contract terms and operational SLAs.Flag and resolve estate or data anomalies on company systems.Commercial & Strategic
Identify and track risks to budget, timeline, and delivery scope, escalating where needed.Analyse cost data and project margins to support commercially-sound decision making.Provide feedback on commercial and estate optimisation opportunities to internal stakeholders.Stakeholder Management
Act as main point of contact for internal and external partners during contract and construction delivery.Build strong relationships with Brighton and Hove council, highways departments and contractors.Communicate clearly and regularly with project teams, surfacing issues and resolving blockers.Data & Systems Management
Keep project data and status regularly updated across key platformsMaintain accurate records of work orders, purchase orders, contractor updates, build specs and site status.Track site data and ensure consistency between contract terms, system records and physical estate.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data gaps, discrepancies, or incomplete site information.Use system reporting to support programme tracking, risk identification and contract compliance.What skills & Experience will I need for this role?
Strong background in contract and construction project managementExperience managing contractors and delivering multi-site build programmesCommercial acumen and confident decision-making on project cost, delivery, and complianceComfortable managing complex stakeholder environments (internal and external)Familiar with CDM 2015, NRSWA and H&S best practicesSkilled in negotiation and supplier managementKnowledge of estate and landlord contract structures desirableConfident working with internal systems (e.g. EAM or equivalent)Full UK driving licenceQualifications (Preferred but not essential) :
SMSTS / IOSH / NEBOSHPrince2 or equivalent project qualificationHNC in Construction or equivalentWhat’s in it for me?
