Engineering Equipment Shift Technician

Vishay Newport Ltd. is currently seeking applicants for Equipment Shift Technicians.

About The Role

As part of the team, you will contribute and support with the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Sustain PMs and troubleshoot on equipment during shift hours.
• Carry out first level of fault recovery and tool health improvement activities.
• Support equipment experiment/improvement actions and projects.
• Support manufacturing shift by achieving all required equipment metrics.
• Follow documented procedures for basic equipment checks, PMs and OCAPs.
• Interface with Engineers (equipment and process) and manufacturing online issues.

Skills and Qualifications

• Be educated to or working towards - BTEC/HNC Engineering or equivalent level.
• Be able to read, analyse and interpret technical procedures; write basic observation reports using a set format.
• Be familiar with modern manufacturing concepts such as JIT, KANBAN, Zero Defects, SPC, TQM and TPM.
• Be capable of managing and prioritizing workload.
• Clean room environmental knowledge.

Shift Patterns

Fixed shifts 12 hrs shifts – 7am to 7pm (DAY) or 7pm to 7am (NIGHT)

• FRONT END: Day and Nights as follows:
  • Sun, Mon, Tue - week 1
  • Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue - week 2
• BACK END: Day and Nights as follows:
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - week 1
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - week 2
