People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Shifts : Monday to Friday : 7.30am starts

Pay rate : £15.65 per hour

Basic : £15.65 per hour.

Day-to-day duties

As a HGV Class 2 Driver your duties will include, but not be limited to :

Multidrop deliveries and collections around Birmingham and surrounding areas

Operating and driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations

Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Ensuring timely, safe and professional deliveries to customer sites

Knowledge of driving / working hours

Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers

Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Keeping the truck and equipment clean and tidy

Use of Curtain side trailers

Essential skills

To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need :

A valid UK Category C licence

A minimum of two year's experience driving C vehicles

No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes

A valid UK CPC card and Digi card

Good spoken and written English

Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills

A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations

Effective communication skills

Desirable experience

Previous commercial driving experience

Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training

Ongoing CPC Training is provided and ongoing support throughout
