Masterclass Education are working with a SEMH Secondary school in the Lancing area who provide a safe and happy environment for the students to thrive in their education and drive them to succeed.

The head would like to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work with students that has SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs). You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.

Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all our candidates.

The ideal candidate would need to start as soon as they can.

Job role :

• To support the children’s development across all areas of their development
• Support and encourage positive behaviour management
• Work with an individual (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling pupils to feel relaxed and happy
• To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
• To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
• To be able to provide personal care if needed
