Porte Noire Kings Cross was launched by David Farber and Idris Elba in 2021

You will be joining a successful restaurant in the heart of Kings Cross new development, Coaldrop Yards.

We are currently increasing the size of our restaurant two folds, adding an events and pdr space.

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious sous chef with experience who has the capabilities and desire to become our head chef within the next 6 months (we're working on other projects with our current executive Chef). You will work alongside the exec chef and the owner to develop menus, make sure the kitchen complies with all EHO requirements, manage supplier orders, run and oversee the kitchen the days the head chef is not in.

You will have the opportunity to work with our Head Chef, who had up to two michelin stars during his career.

Our kitchen is small, we're in the process off increasing it's size by three fold. You will have space for a lot of creativity, we are working with high quality and fresh produces. Our menu changes regularly working with seasonal ingredients, the core of our kitchen is Mediterranean. the working hours are reasonable, and we make sure to create a pleasant and positive working environment.
