Position : Quantity Surveyor

Painting & Refurbishment | Wessex Region

Were seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in painting contracts, refurbishment, or voids projects to join a leading property services contractor.

This is a fantastic opportunity to manage the full commercial and financial lifecycle of projects across the Wessex region, helping deliver cost-effective and high-quality solutions.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take full responsibility for the financial performance of contracts from inception through to completion. Youll ensure accurate measurement, procurement, and cost management, while identifying opportunities to improve margin and drive commercial success.

Key responsibilities include :

Managing all commercial and technical aspects of contracts

Measurement, pricing, and tender evaluations

Cost management, forecasting, and CVR reporting

Sub-contractor account management and administration

Producing and submitting applications for payment

Developing and maintaining supplier and subcontractor relationships

Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements

What Were Looking For

Professionally qualified (HNC / HND / Degree / Diploma or equivalent)

Proven experience in painting contracts, refurbishment, or property services

Strong knowledge of bills of quantities, schedules of rates, design & build contracts

Extensive experience in commercial management and subcontract procurement

Strong IT skills (particularly Excel)

Excellent time management and ability to work to deadlines

Confident working independently and as part of a team

Able to lead, support, and develop colleagues within the commercial team
