Responsibilities
- Business Development – Attending networking events across Wales and arranging regular meetings with prospective clients.
- Maximise Commercial Opportunities through your network to ensure that you are maximising deal flow and pipeline.
- As a pan-Wales fund there will be some requirement to support deal flow nationally, with an expectation of time spent traveling across Wales
- Identifying businesses for investment and using your network to bring new commercial opportunities that you will manage.
- Deal Structuring – working alongside the technical teams to ensure efficient management of contracts both legally and commercially.
- Deal management – Ensure smooth progress through the different stages of the deal progress.
- Portfolio Management – taking an active role to ensure the management team with the portfolio business are supported while you sit on the board.
Qualifications / Experience
Exposure to deal management, typical VC structuring and process management, as well as being well connected in the professional markets across Wales preferably North and West Wales.Excellent understanding of an investor director’s role on the board and confident in challenging management teams.Significant experience in accounting, consulting, lead advisory, transactions services or similar. Experience of private equity or venture capital portfolio management would be beneficial.Prior board experience and a restructuring background beneficial.Seniority level
