TransferRoom has become a must-have for key stakeholders in football’s transfer market. It’s used by 800+ clubs, including Man City , Liverpool and PSG , 550 agencies and 8000 professional players . It has empowered clubs and agents to facilitate over 6000 transfers since its launch in 2017.

💻 How We Work

We work in cross-functional squads , made up of full-stack engineers, product managers, designers, analysts, and automated QAs. Together, these squads own a key area of our platform — from club tools and agent products to core infrastructure and data services.

We believe the best work happens when teams are empowered to make decisions, collaborate openly, and ship fast. Our squads are lean and can develop and deploy their products end-to-end autonomously. Our engineers pair program, do code reviews, and iterate quickly to keep learning and improving.

We practice Scrumban and deploy new features to our customers every two weeks or sooner.

Our London office is at Bankside, with additional tech teams in Poland and Ukraine.

Our office is naturally social, especially Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, when we have regular team drinks, celebrations and five-a-side football.

🎯 What You'll Be Working On

As an AI engineer, you’ll drive and lead our innovation incubator function here at TransferRoom by rapidly developing, deploying and presenting AI / ML proof of concepts. Some of the technologies you’ll work with include :

C# & .NET , Python , SQL for our core services

React & React Native for our front-end and mobile apps

SQL Server , MongoDB & Databricks for data storage, data processing and caching

AI & ML with a specific focus on the practical application of generative and agentic solutions for rapidly creating the next generation of innovative products

Azure to run and scale our services

REST APIs that connect it all

We hire for potential and mindset, not just a checklist of skills — so you don’t need to have used all these before. If you’re excited about solving problems at scale, we’ll support you with onboarding and learning opportunities to get up to speed.

✅ You Should Apply If

You have 3+ years of experience delivering production software with an emphasis on AI, data processing or MLOps

You are skilled with version control tools like Git and Azure DevOps

You have experience building data transformations on relational or non-relational platforms

You are comfortable working with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure

You thrive in working in an environment with rapid experimentation and innovation

You can troubleshoot data workflows and optimise system performance

You are familiar with C#, Python, React, TypeScript and have experience with AI tools like ChatGPT, Azure AI or similar

You have knowledge of data platforms like SQL Server, Power BI, BigQuery (preferred, not essential)

You have experience delivering client-facing software (preferred, not essential)
