Job descriptionEducation / qualifications in a subject relating to Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Commercial Management. Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the roofing industry (ideally commercial flat roofing) Proficient in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
Job Description
- Cost Management : Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for industrial Roofing & Cladding projects, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
- Tendering : Assist in the preparation and analysis of tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure all contract terms are adhered to.
- Valuations : Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and prepare interim and final valuations.
- Cost Reporting : Monitor project costs and financial performance, providing regular updates and reports to management.
- Contract Administration : Manage contractual documentation, including variations, claims, and dispute resolutions.
- Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison : Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Risk Management : Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Compliance : Ensure all projects comply with legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
