Senior Platform Engineer - UK Government Projects

Location : Manchester (3 days per week)

Salary : Up to £70,000 + 10% bonus

Clearance : Eligibility for SC clearance required

Join a high-impact team delivering modern, secure digital solutions to the UK Government. We're looking for experienced Senior Platform Engineers who thrive in agile environments and want to solve complex technical challenges with innovative tools and practices.

What You'll Bring : Experience building proof-of-concept or production systems

Proficient with Git, Mercurial, or Perforce

Hands-on with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket, TeamCity)

Familiar with automated testing and code quality tools like SonarQube

Comfortable working in Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, or Lean)

Knowledge of common software design patterns

Desirable (but not essential) : Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes , or config tools like Ansible

Exposure to machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Amazon ML)

Understanding of relational, document, or graph databases
