Our client is seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teachers of English to join their welcoming and supportive team at a successful all-through academy based in Ilford. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Early Career Teacher of English, your key responsibilities will include :
Delivering engaging and well-structured English lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
Contributing to the department’s curriculum planning and resource development
Supporting students to achieve their academic goals through high-quality teaching
Working closely with mentors and department leads to continuously improve practice
Creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
Participating in staff training and ongoing professional development
Taking part in pastoral duties and contributing to the wider school life
WHAT OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will :
Hold (or be on track to obtain) QTS and a relevant undergraduate degree
Have experience teaching English at secondary level through placements or training
Be passionate about subject knowledge and committed to inspiring young learners
Have a strong understanding of effective classroom practice
Be a reflective practitioner willing to learn and grow within a supportive team
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
Be highly motivated, organised, and proactive in contributing to the school community
