Overview
The Procurement Systems Analyst is a key technical role within the UNITY Programme. The UNITY Cluster is a cross-departmental UK government initiative involving HMRC, the Department for Transport (DfT), and MHCLG. Its goal is to modernise and unify back-office operations specifically finance, procurement, HR, and payroll through a shared cloud-based ERP platform powered by SAP and delivered in partnership with Deloitte. The UNITY Cluster represents a significant digital transformation effort, impacting over 100,000 civil servants and aligning with the Shared Services Strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the successful implementation and optimisation of the Shared Services operating model (UNITY) across MHCLG and its in-scope Arm's Length Bodies (ALBs). This role is central to ensuring fit between procurement operations and the UNITY Shared Business Service, including ensuring information within Procurement Systems is compatible and transferable to the UNITY business systems (SAP, potentially SAP Ariba), and ensuring that legacy processes and data are effectively transitioned into Ariba's best-practice structures.
You will work closely with procurement teams, data specialists, and implementation partners to map workflows, configure Procurement systems within MHCLG to enable data flows to support Source to Contract and Purchase to Pay workflows, and support user adoption. From data cleansing and transformation to testing and training, you'll play a hands-on role in enabling a smooth deployment and early-life support of the new procurement platform.
