About the Health & Social Care Teacher Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join our successful Health & Social Care department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Health & Social Care across Key Stages 4 and 5, inspiring students with engaging lessons and real-world applications of the subject.

Responsibilities of the Health & Social Care Teacher :

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Health & Social Care lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore Health & Social Care concepts and develop their understanding of health and wellbeing.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Health & Social Care, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the Health & Social Care curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Health & Social Care teaching.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Health & Social Care or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care at the secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Health & Social Care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for Health & Social Care and a commitment to inspiring students.
