Job Description – Logging Supervisor

Location : Affinity Water Programme (Field & Office-Based)

Hours : Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Reports to : Project / Programme Manager

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Logging Supervisor to oversee a team of logging technicians working on the Affinity Water programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality and accuracy of logging activities, and supporting the delivery of project objectives. This is a hands-on supervisory role that requires strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills, with a focus on health & safety and performance delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Supervision : Lead, manage, and support a team of logging technicians, ensuring daily tasks and schedules are achieved.
• Operational Oversight : Coordinate field activities including logging, equipment use, and data collection, ensuring compliance with programme standards.
• Quality Control : Monitor logging activities, verify accuracy of results, and ensure timely reporting.
• Health & Safety : Promote and enforce safe working practices in line with company and industry standards. Conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments as required.
• Planning & Scheduling : Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and allocation of resources to meet project deadlines.
• Liaison & Communication : Act as the main point of contact between technicians, management, and clients (Affinity Water), ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
• Training & Development : Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to technicians to enhance skills and maintain high performance levels.
• Reporting : Maintain accurate records of field activities, produce progress updates, and escalate issues to management when necessary.
