Location : Essex (office-based, with site visits as required)

Salary : £65,000 DOE + Company Vehicle + Benefits

Piper Maddox are working with a leading renewable energy business who are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineering Manager to lead its design function. My client specialises in the development, design, construction, and maintenance of solar PV and battery storage projects, supporting commercial and private clients to cut costs and achieve carbon reduction targets. With strong growth plans and a collaborative culture, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a key leadership role within the renewable energy sector.

You will take ownership of all electrical design activity across the company's renewable energy portfolio. You'll lead and mentor the design team, manage external design partners, and provide technical input to ensure compliant, cost-effective, and buildable solutions. This role requires both hands-on technical capability and strong leadership, driving efficiency, quality, and delivery across all projects.
