MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious engineering client in their 2026 recruitment initiative with the recruitment of a permanent Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The job youll do :

Producing schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, general arrangements, cable block diagrams, cable schedules etc.

Attend customer reviews to satisfy customer requirements for design.

Prepare Bill of Materials, Design Intent Document, cable sizing calcs

Provide Technical support for site.

Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications and Design Intent Documents.

Compliance with the department processes and procedures.

Abide by all Business Compliance requirements in line with Company policies

Actively support the continuous improvement of Engineering systems and processes.

Mentoring of Design Engineering staff.

Assist with in-house training initiatives.

About you :

HNC or equivalent experience in electrical engineering

Positive attitude, good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Be able to work to deadlines and as part of a team.

Willing to travel to site throughout the UK.

Willing to work to develop knowledge and understanding of other job functions.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills at all levels.
