HGV Class 1 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts : Shifts across Monday to Sunday (drivers must be required to do weekends)

• Full time
• Part time / AD-HOC
• Weekends

Hours : Days / Afters / Nights

Pay Rate : £18.15 to £26.25 per hour PAYE.

Location : Carlisle (CA6)

The role :

Execute depot pull, filling the back of a trailer at the depot and transporting it to a hub.

Engage in customer work, taking the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, delivering it to a hub, and returning to the depot.

Assist with loading and unloading at customer sites and in the depot.

Perform drop and swap operations, sometimes using a tail lift, and occasionally doing trailer swaps requiring uncoupling the vehicle.
