We are looking for a highly organised Materials Planner to join a leading manufacturing company for a 12-month contract (maternity cover). In this role, you will manage production schedules, maintain inventory levels, and ensure the timely procurement of materials and services. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in production planning and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Scheduling : Create and manage production orders based on sales forecasts and business needs.
- Inventory Management : Maintain accurate inventory levels for materials and parts, ensuring everything is available for production.
- Pick List Generation : Prepare and issue lists for warehouse and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Transaction Monitoring : Ensure all production and material transactions are accurately recorded in the MRP system.
- Issue Reporting : Report any risks related to production or materials and work with teams to find solutions.
- Continuous Improvement : Suggest and implement improvements to streamline processes.
- KPI Reporting : Track and report on key performance metrics.
- BOM Management : Keep Bill of Materials (BOM) data updated to support planning and forecasting.
- Procurement Coordination : Work with the procurement team to ensure accurate and timely ordering of materials.
- Engineering Change Management : Manage changes to BOMs and coordinate with relevant teams.
- Project Updates : Provide status updates on material availability and project timelines.
