Overview
In your role as a Bank Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
As a bank Activities Co-ordinator it will mean planning and implementing the kinds of activities that will delight our Residents, and helping the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events. Whether you're helping Residents socialise more effectively, developing activity ideas based on Residents' hobbies, or getting the rest of the care home team involved, you will do so with a focus on kindness above all else.
HC-One is looking for someone with a background in working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Beyond that, it’s about your positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. You’ll have great planning, organisational and IT skills and be able to manage your time effectively. You will communicate with Residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, so you should recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
