Overview
By joining at the start-up phase, you will support AROS to engage with communities impacted by racism and drive forward our engagement and communications strategy ensuring that as wide an audience as possible is aware of the actions AROS is taking to challenge systemic racism in Scotland and how we are working to ensure community voices and lived experience is at the heart of the work undertaken by the Observatory.
We are looking for an exceptional communications professional who has a deep understanding that good communication can tell powerful stories that can change beliefs, attitudes and entire systems. You will be a highly motivated self-starter, strategic in your approach and able to focus on building relationships with a range of stakeholders across diverse communities and sectors across Scotland.
Hosted by the University of Strathclyde in partnership with the Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights (CRER), and funded by the Scottish Government, AROS is in a critical two-year transition toward full independence.

Salary range : £47,389 - £58,225
FTE : 1 (35 hours / week)
Term : Fixed (until 31 / 10 / 2027)
Responsibilities
The post holder will lead community engagement and communications across AROS by leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team and by working strategically with colleagues across AROS and with external partners and stakeholders.
