Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

Due to our continued growth into the data centre sector, we are looking to recruit a Principal Electrical Engineer, ideally with data centre experience, to lead a multi-disciplinary team on technically-challenging projects.

This role will be responsible for managing projects to deliver an excellent service to clients and assisting on the ongoing development and growth of the business as a whole, whilst providing sound technical, design, and contract management support. This role will report to the London-based senior management.

We are looking for an experienced professional to provide sound technical, design, and contract management support on Electrical Building Services Engineering disciplines, to ensure project requirements and clients specifications are fully met.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the development and growth of the company by identifying new opportunities and potential areas for growth, and also maintaining and developing existing client relationships
• Manages a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure successful preparation and delivery of project objectives, including providing technical support
• Works with other Principal Engineers to ensure quality and timely operation delivery for clients
• Compiles specifications, drawings, and relevant contract documents, maintaining the required technical quality of work, ensuring that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures
• Acts as the lead engineer and liaises with the client and external design team as necessary for the successful delivery of projects
• Provides Electrical Building Services Engineering design to buildings and infrastructure
• Identifies scope and scheduling changes in accordance with the change control process, maintaining planning and cost control on all scope
• Monitors and takes responsibility for the profit and loss within the working team
• Coordinates monthly financial reports, both internal management accounts and external applications for payment
• Delivers small- to large-scale projects from concept designs through to completion, executing Building Services Engineering activities within the budget and schedule, whilst maintaining technical integrity
• Negotiates positive outcomes, resource planning, providing motivation and management
• Promotes team building and supports the team through training and mentoring
