Job description

As a Lead Vet you will be accountable for the clinical leadership of the veterinary team ensuring we deliver exceptional care, always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of compliance with regulatory, operational and practice standards. You will also work closely with the Practice Manager to maximise the commercial performance of the clinic.

Are you an experienced vet ready to take the next step in your career? Join Medivet as a Lead Veterinary Surgeon at our friendly, well-established practice in Brighton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon with at least 5+ years UK experience to step into a pivotal role leading a practice, training, coaching and supporting the existing team.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusastic and results driven Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and compassionate team at Medivet Brighton full-time. A well-established practice located in the heart of one of the UK’s most iconic and vibrant cities. Brighton is famed for its inclusive culture, independent spirit, creative energy and seaside charm; with its famous beach, lively lanes, festivals, cafés and art scene all just minutes from the practice. Whether you’re into live music, coastal walks, great food or quirky shopping, Brighton offers a lifestyle that’s hard to match.

Our practice is known locally for its warmth, kindness and continuity of care, and we’re proud to have built a strong reputation among our loyal client base. We’re a two-vet clinic, supported by a close-knit team including one full-time HRVN, a part-time RVN, a full-time Veterinary Care Assistant, two Client Care Assistants (one full-time and one part-time), and a dedicated Practice Manager. We’re now looking for a new Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join the team and move the practice forward with confidence, compassion and enthusiasm.

The clinic is well-equipped with dental and digital x-ray, ultrasound, a full in-house laboratory, kennels and a dedicated theatre, giving you the tools and space to deliver exceptional patient care with a strong balance of surgery and consults.

If you’re ready to lead a talented, close-knit and passionate team in a lovely, coastal community practice, with the autonomy to make a real impact on both clinical standards and vibrant team culture then we’d love to hear from you.

For an initial, informal conversation, please contact joanne.gray@medivet.co.uk.
