THE POSITION: The Global D2C E-Commerce Manager will lead the strategic development and centralised execution of Roland’s Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) e-commerce strategy across Japan, UK, and USA. This role ensures consistency in site experience, campaign delivery, and integrations across all Shopify Plus platforms, while driving growth, operational excellence, and customer experience. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategic Leadership Drive the global D2C e-commerce strategy in alignment with business objectives. Develop and maintain global standards, templates, and best practices for UX, content, and performance. Internationalisation & Compliance Oversee localisation governance: currency, language, tax/duty compliance, and local payment methods. Ensure SEO best practices for international domains, hreflang, and localised keyword strategies. Coordinate with Finance and Logistics on trade compliance, duties, and fraud prevention. Content Management & Campaigns Manage centralised content creation and deployment for product pages, landing pages, and promotional campaigns. Coordinate global campaign execution with digital marketing and creative teams. Ensure localisation requirements are met while maintaining global consistency. Prepare AI-ready content and structured product data for personalisation and search optimisation. Performance & Optimisation Establish and lead a global Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) program, including A/B testing cadence and UX standards. Monitor global KPIs and funnel metrics; identify opportunities for improvement. Drive initiatives to enhance customer experience, streamline purchase journeys, and reduce cart abandonment. Data & Analytics Governance Define and maintain a global KPI dictionary and reporting cadence. Ensure tag governance and analytics consistency across all regions. Deliver actionable insights to local teams through regular performance reviews. Cross-Functional Collaboration Liaise closely with IT, Finance, and Logistics teams on systems and infrastructure for e-commerce. Work with external integration agencies to manage system integrations and ensure smooth operations. Support local e-commerce managers in Japan, UK, and USA with guidance, tools, and strategic direction. Project & Vendor Management Manage relationships with external partners and ensure timely delivery of integration projects. Oversee global platform enhancements and new feature rollouts. Oversee expansion of e-commerce into new regions. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Essential Proven experience in global e-commerce management, preferably on Shopify Plus. Strong understanding of D2C strategies and digital retail best practices. Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills. Familiarity with system integrations and working with external agencies. Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive performance improvements. Ability to balance global consistency with local market needs. Desirable Experience in music retail or consumer electronics (advantageous).
