Supply Desk are seeking a Year 2 class Teaching Assistant for a small Primary school in Midhurst

Starting from January 2026 on a long-term contract

Monday- Friday8;30- 3 : 30

£82-£95 per day (dependent upon experience)

A small village school nestled in the countryside is seeking a Year 2 class teaching assistant to support by working with small groups of children and individual children to thrive. There is a high percentage of SEND needs within this Ofsted “Good” rated Primary school.

Smaller than average village school

High percentage of SEND needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH

Job Description :

Working with small groups delivering interventions such as Reading, Maths, Literacy, life skills and social skills or 1 : 1 with specific pupils and supporting their needs

Supporting the class teacher with preparation and class organisation

Enhancing learning experiences by giving extra time, resources and instruction

Full time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract

Location : Midhurst– A car would be needed for this role

Start Date : January 2026 / February

Contract Length :  Long Term – Potential to become permanent

Hours :  Part time 32.5

Individual Profile :

Some experience working with children is desirable

GCSE Maths and English to A- C grade

Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual

Knowledgeable about safeguarding

Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations

First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
