THE ROLE
As a Sheltered Housing Support Worker - Complex Needs, you will provide essential housing-related support and advocacy to individuals with multiple disadvantages, including rough sleepers and ex-rough sleepers. You will play a key role in helping residents access housing, health, and support services to achieve greater stability and independence.
Key responsibilities include :
Delivering person-centred support within hostel and outreach settings
Supporting individuals to access health services, treatment, and housing options
Advising on welfare benefits, financial wellbeing, and tenancy rights
Advocating for customers and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making
Building strong, trusting relationships with people who are traditionally hard to engage
Liaising with partner agencies to provide holistic wraparound support
Responding to safeguarding concerns with professionalism and careTHE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a support role, ideally working with individuals with complex needs, trauma, or housing challenges.
We are looking for someone who :
Has experience working with vulnerable people with multiple disadvantages
Understands safeguarding, welfare benefits, and tenancy sustainment
Can work confidently both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrates strong communication skills with a non-judgmental approach
Holds a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicleTHE CONTRACT
Working Hours : 37.5 hours per week – 9 : 00 to 17 : 00, 13 : 00-21 : 00 Monday to Friday, weekends 10 : 00-18 : 00
Length of Contract : Permanent
Rate : £27,765 per year, plus benefits
