Weapon System Equipment Project Engineer - Fire Enable System

Our client, a prominent organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Weapon System Equipment Project Engineer to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity to be at the cutting edge of advanced technology in the development of Laser Directed Energy Weapon (LDEW) systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Delivering the Fire Enable System in its configurations for inclusion in other systems

Acceptance of the physical and functional definition of the hardware

Delivering the technical and certification documentation, including safety-related certification

Supporting the functional integration of the hardware within the wider subsystem definition

Job Requirements :

Individuals who have experience in or can demonstrate their ability to :

Operate in the early lifecycle of a project, to drive technical direction for the equipment under development and clarify stakeholder needs

Work with third-party suppliers and develop technical statements of work and deliverables

Develop complex electrical equipment or subsystems and ensure the emergent design is compliant with project requirements

Proactively engage stakeholders and build relationships that will further the project

Lead technical work packages alongside experienced project managers, to demonstrate progress and balance technical risks
