POWER APPS / POWER BI PERFORMANCE TESTER ROLE - 3 MONTHS OUTSIDE IR35 REMOTE CONTRACT

Summary for Performance Tester Role

This role is seeking an experienced Performance Tester to join a Tier 1 Microsoft Partner, specialising in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Power Apps and Power BI Desktop performance testing. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in performance testing tools like JMeter , LoadRunner , Power BI Performance Analyzer , DAX Query Optimization and similar tools. This role involves identifying bottlenecks, writing performance scripts, and recommending solutions to enhance system performance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Accountable for overall performance test strategy, execution, and reporting.
  • Conduct performance testing for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Power Apps and Power BI Desktop .
  • Use tools like JMeter , LoadRunner , and Power BI Performance Analyzer or their equivalents to design, execute, and analyse performance test scenarios.
  • Analyse DAX queries for performance optimization within Power BI reports.
  • Reporting to the Test Lead or Senior Test Manager with regular updates on performance test outcomes and issues.
  • Identify system performance bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
  • Ensuring the delivered test results meet the required quality and performance standards.
  • Collaborating with development, operations, and product teams to identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
  • Ensuring that performance risks and issues are captured, documented, and escalated appropriately.
  • Create detailed performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Skills and Experience Required :

  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter , LoadRunner , and Power BI Performance Analyzer .
  • Strong knowledge of DAX query optimization and Power BI report performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure .
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
