Qualification Manager – Location : Wolverhampton. Salary : £24,000 - £36,000 pa (depending on experience & qualifications). Contract : Full Time, Temporary (Maternity cover).
Are you looking for a new role? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team at Nova Training as a Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will support and maintain the delivery of high-quality apprenticeship training, contributing to company KPIs across the Apprenticeship programme and ensuring a high level of learner and employer satisfaction. This role requires someone who is flexible in their approach to all tasks, with the independence to travel as required by the business.
Responsibilities
- To manage the full suite of qualifications across Nova Training provisions. Design, develop and continually review qualifications to ensure they remain valid, fit for purpose and aligned with strategic objectives and all regulatory requirements.
- Take a leading role as Head of Centre with awarding organisations for qualifications, GCSEs and Apprenticeship Standards. Manage day-to-day operational processes and handling appeals.
- Ensure all delivery staff are appropriately qualified, trained and registered with the appropriate awarding organisation.
- Ensure compliance against all Awarding Organisations, Ofqual and JCQ processes.
- Lead quality assurance processes for assessment and materials, including standardisations, moderation and internal quality assurance to maintain consistency and validity.
- Ensure all relevant staff are appropriately invigilation trained and records are kept accurate regarding this.
- Manage and lead the External Quality Assurance (EQA) process for monitoring and yearly visits.
- Regularly develop, review and monitor curriculum intent, implementation and impact to ensure curriculum plans meet the needs of all stakeholders.
- Evaluate the provision ongoing against the current EIF and any subsequent updates.
- Maintain your own Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Represent Nova at internal and external events as appropriate.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post.
- Support programme area staff in a mentoring / coaching role as required.
Qualifications & Training
Minimum level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications.Degree level qualification or equivalent.A full teaching qualification.Level 5 management qualification (Desirable).Requirements
Experience of GCSE retake provision and curriculum (desirable).Experience of undertaking the role of Nominee during an Ofsted Inspection (desirable).Knowledge and experience of internal and external assessment, standardisation and verification processes.Detailed knowledge and experience of current curriculum developments across SEN education, particularly Maths, English and employability.Detailed understanding of EIF and overall expectations of Ofsted.Experience of high-quality learning, teaching and assessment to at least level 3.Understanding of ESFA funded programmes with a focus on 16-18 Study Programmes, Traineeships and Provision for Learners with High Needs.
