Walter Everett is a recruitment company, and we are currently helping our client – a global consultancy and Managed Service Provider (MSP) – to hire an Azure Cloud Engineer.
You’ll be working within an MSP environment alongside a skilled team of engineers and architects who deliver technical solutions and managed services to a diverse customer base, including government and financial sector clients. The team operates collaboratively, with a strong focus on technical excellence, continuous improvement, and client satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing
As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the hands-on technical delivery of cloud solutions and managed services. Your role will include :
Building and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS)
Monitoring Azure environments and resolving technical issues
Troubleshooting Windows and network-related problems
Responding to and resolving incident tickets
Supporting root cause analysis and contributing to service improvement initiatives
Automating tasks using PowerShell and cloud-native tools
Participating in client meetings and collaborating with customers to resolve technical issues
Providing on-call and out-of-hours support for server patching and maintenance
What experience you’ll bring
You’ll bring experience in a technical engineering role, with a strong foundation in Azure cloud services and automation :
Proven expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS environments
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
Experience in Windows administration (Linux experience desirable)
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and cloud-native Infrastructure as Code tools
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues
Certification : Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) – mandatory
Additional Microsoft certifications – highly beneficial
Experience working with public sector clients – advantageous
