Electric Vehicle Powertrain Noise and Vibration (NVH) Test Technician

Role :

• Installation and operation of electric drive units within a semi-anechoic test chamber
• Installation and removal of test measurement transducers including microphones, accelerometers, displacement probes and laser vibrometers
• Operation of a powertrain dynamometer system, to ensure safe, repeatable measurements of powertrain systems under operational loads.
• Removal and refitting of automotive vehicle components from both current production and prototype vehicles.
• General fabrication of test fixtures and ancillaries (Including welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting, e.t.c.)
• Shared responsibility for the robust delivery of vehicle and powertrain test programmes, and the integrity of the recorded test data
• The role is highly practical in nature and comprises test cell, workshop, and occasional vehicle track testing activities.
