Corda Solana On-Chain Rust Engineer

At R3, you will work at the exciting convergence of TradFi (Traditional Finance) and DeFi (Decentralised Finance). You are a Software Engineer with a product mindset, building platforms for today and tomorrow's financial systems. You will be part of our multidisciplinary engineering team, developing and evolving our Corda Distributed Ledger Technology, powering private networks and the Solana public blockchain.

The team focuses on integrating Corda with the high-performance Solana blockchain to enable interoperability among multiple Corda private networks and between Corda and Solana.

Your expertise in on-chain programming of Solana in Rust is crucial. This project involves accessing Solana from server infrastructure written in Kotlin, without a web UI or Typescript elements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test Solana on-chain programs in Rust.
• Bring Solana on-chain knowledge, best practices, and experience to the Corda / Solana integration architecture and design.
• Leverage the Solana ecosystem and community to accelerate implementation and delivery.
• Contribute to the technical direction of Solana engineering at R3.
• Mentor and assist other engineers, sharing your approach to problem-solving and helping them develop skills in the Solana on-chain ecosystem.
• Learn and develop expertise in Corda, R3’s private DLT product.
• Make informed decisions of complexity using comprehensive judgment.
• Maintain a security-focused mindset during design and development, collaborating with security teams and audit vendors.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop technical plans and contribute to architecture.
• Engage with product management to align technical delivery with product requirements.
• Develop customer focus skills to anticipate internal and external requests.
