Farm Shop Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands on Farm Shop Supervisor at Castle Howard. This is an exciting opportunity to champion exceptional food, drink and home gifting in a truly unique setting, while ensuring the highest standards of customer service and retail excellence.

As Farm Shop Retail Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the daily running of the shop from maintaining stock and food safety standards to motivating and coaching the team. You'll help drive sales, improve product ranges and create a welcoming, hospitality-style experience for every customer.

30-40 Hours Permanent Contract

Shift Patterns will include weekends and bank holidays

Typical Shift times : 9am-5pm

Key Deliverables

To champion high quality, hospitality style customer service throughout the Farm Shop.

Ensure all retail stock processes are adhered to minimise waste and stockloss.

Be responsible for delivering and maintaining the Farm Shop food safety system.

Ensure all operations conform to health and safety requirements.

Undertake duty management shifts as determined by the weekly rota.

To develop, train and coach your team.

Ensure staff are briefed on new ranges and receive product knowledge training as appropriate.

Ensure all company policies are adhered to by yourself and your team.

Essential :

Previous retail management experience.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable :

Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.

Knowledge and experience of working with EPOS systems.

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Graduate

Pay : £12.75-£13.25 per hour

Expected hours : 30 - 40 per week
