Job Title : Secondary SENCO Teaching Assistant

About the Role :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Secondary SENCO Teaching Assistant to join a school team and support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role involves working closely with individual students, small groups, and within mainstream classrooms to provide tailored support for those who require additional help, whether with behaviour management or academic progress.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver one-on-one support to students with additional needs.
Assist small groups of students to enhance learning and engagement.
Support students within general classroom settings to ensure inclusion.
Help manage and improve behaviour in a calm, consistent manner.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to meet students’ needs.
Monitor and report on student progress and challenges.
Person Specification :
Calm and patient approach to behaviour and learning support.
Experience working with secondary-aged students (KS3 and KS4) preferred.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to promoting inclusion and raising student outcomes.
