English Teacher needed for an SEMH Provision

TLTP are looking for a qualified English teacher to work full-time at an SEMH Alternative Provision.

The ideal candidate for this English Teacher role would have experience of working with secondary KS3 / KS4 pupils with social emotional and mental health needs.

The setting is a specialist provision based in Northwest London. This is a provision that's teaches pupils in KS3 & KS4 who are unable to attend their mainstream school due to their behavioural challenges.

Many of the pupils have emotional and mental health needs. The main differences are :

• Reduced curriculum offer- the provision delivers core subjects
• Class sizes max 8-10 with some additional TA support in classes.
• Therapeutic and nurturing environment and approaches to support access to the curriculum.
• There is no specialist knowledge about Mental Health needed the pupils just want good teaching in class so they can get their GCSEs and move forward
