TXM Recruit are looking a Planner to work on a project with our current rail client for up to 6 months. The role is remote with occasional travel in to the London office. Context and Summary The Planner will be responsible for preparation and management of UK Projects P6 programmes. Providing planning expertise to sales and projects. Main Responsibilities To establish and maintain effective project, bid and operational programmes, by working closely with the Programme & Project Managers and delivery function leadsTo provide support to stakeholders in ensuring that issues within programmes are pro-actively highlighted, understood and solutions are identifiedTo ensure coordination between internal divisions and subcontractors’ programmes of works when developing Hitachi programmesTo produce reports and dashboards as required to effectively communicate programme compliance and status to Hitachi and external stakeholdersTo establish programme baselines and thereafter evaluating the potential effect of risks and changes To support the Programme Planning Lead in the preparation and maintenance of resource and capacity forecasts and programmes across the scope of responsibilities for the Projects teamKey Skills & Experience.Essential Requirements : Self-starter with ability to develop strong, constructive and focused relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all organisation levelsProven ability to work successfully in a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skillsExperience, and skilled in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft planning products using Critical Path Analysis in a technical environmentFlexibility to travel around Hitachi Rail locations as required, potentially including international locationsAble to represent Hitachi in a professional manner at all timesDesirable Requirements : Formal project management trainingGood knowledge of SAP or equivalent MRP systemBi or multi-lingual – English / Japanese / ItalianClient or project delivery experience, within the UK railway industryPerson SpecificationMotivated and can work with minimum supervisionExcellent communication skillsGood organisation / time managementEnjoys challenges and problem solvingStrong analytical and problem solving skillsCalm and measured in pressured situationsA team player
