Responsibilities for a Mechanical Design Engineer :

• Lead mechanical design for building services systems—HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and auxiliary services.
• Produce coherent and compliant 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD tools (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD)
• Select and specify mechanical system components that meet performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness targets.
• Coordinate mechanical systems design with architectural, electrical, structural, and control disciplines.
• Ensure all designs comply with UK building regulations, industry best practices, and MOD-specific security and performance standards.
• Review contractors’ deliverables; provide technical reviews and sign off on mechanical systems.
• Contribute to design reviews, site visits, and commissioning to ensure successful implementation.
