Overview

We are seeking dedicated 7.5t Customer Delivery Drivers for a leading supplier of bedroom furniture. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering weekday-only shifts. Be the friendly face of our client, delivering exceptional customer service and furniture to customers' homes. Heavy lifting is required , and you'll deliver items directly to a room of the customer's choice.

Location : Dagenham
Pay Rate : £15.73 p / h (£17.61 p / h with holiday pay included)
Schedule : Monday to Friday, 6 : 00 AM start time

Responsibilities

Adhere to all transport legal requirements and company policies, including uniform and ID standards.

Provide warm, professional interactions with customers, addressing any queries.

Deliver and, when trained, install bedroom furniture to customers' rooms of choice.

Maintain cleanliness in customers' homes, recycling packaging where possible.

Conduct pre- and post-delivery vehicle checks and complete paperwork accurately.

Use a PDA to update delivery statuses and ensure the Home Delivery Charter is followed.

Handle furniture with care and maintain a safe, organized vehicle at all times.

What we're looking for

Valid UK driving license (Category C1)

Current Driver's CPC DQ card and digital tachograph card

Experience driving 7.5t vehicles commercially in the UK

Knowledge of EU driving laws and tachograph regulations

Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy furniture

Customer-facing experience and strong interpersonal skills
