Care Assistant

Job Description

As a Care Professional, you’ll provide essential care and support in the homes of our clients, following personalised care plans that put dignity and respect at the heart of everything you do.

We are looking for compassionate home care workers with availability in Ely and surrounding areas for Weekdays, Evenings and Weekends, who want to make a difference in our community. If you have customer service, retail, hospitality experience, or have good communication skills, you can transfer these skills and become a Care Professional. We’d love to welcome you into our team and show you how you can make a positive impact to clients in your area. Due to the nature of our service, we require a full UK driving license and your own transport.

• Medication – collecting prescriptions & providing reminders.
• Mealtimes – preparing tasty meals.
• Housekeeping – keeping their home just the way they like it.
• Mobility – help with getting around.

Qualifications

• You don't need any care experience to apply for this role, just plenty of care, compassion and resilience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Physical fitness to assist clients with mobility and perform light housekeeping duties.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle required.
• DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check clearance.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo further training and development in care practices.
