A leading manufacturerin the world of personal healthcare products has a new opening. They arelooking for a Packaging Development Manager with experience working for a largemultinational organisation.

Your role will be to identify, develop and driveimplementation of packaging technology solutions that add value to the companyand its customers. This will be measured by business parameters such asconsumer satisfaction, operations improvement, environmental sustainability,sales growth, and profitability.

As Packaging Development Manager, your main responsibilitieswill be as follows:

• Primarilyresponsible for packaging development initiatives related to existing/new items
• Responsiblefor packaging development initiatives and execution within the UK
• Keyroles and responsibilities: Interface with suppliers, customers, and otherinternal functions such as Strategic Sourcing, QA, and Finance to develop andimplement packaging in support of customer business objectives
• Responsiblefor working with suppliers and other external resources to identify potentialdesign and technology opportunities for packaging
• Responsiblefor developing and maintaining knowledge of critical consumer and operationalissues as well as key packaging technologies
• Workwith suppliers, creative agencies, and other sources to develop a range ofcreative options for packaging

Skills & Experience:

• Packagingtechnology and/or business/packaging strategy development
• Knowledgeof packaging forms, coatings & conversion processes
• Strongtechnical competencies in packaging science including knowledge of structuraldesign and manufacturing processes
• Experiencewith project management tasks and timeline development
• Abilityto connect abstract thoughts and ideas and materialise into an actionablelong-term packaging strategy
• Experienceworking with multi-functional teams to formulate objectives and action plans
• Analyticalapproach to problem solving and decision making
• Excellentcommunication and facilitation skills
• Highlevel of collaboration and teamwork
