Pre-Construction & Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Communicate organisation’s products and services;
• Contract review and negotiation;
• Prepare and manage the proposals from inception through to tender award and contract close;
• Define the technical specifications of the proposals, taking into account client and Martifer requirements;
• Promote the integration of ecological and sustainable principles and materials when preparing new proposals;
• Ensuring the efficient transition from business proposal to the Project Management Department;
• Promote Business Development and develop a plan that meets the company goals and objectives;
• Contributing to the definition of Business Continuous Plan.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in construction, engineering or a related discipline;
• English level needed is typically B2 (Intermediate) or above;
• Proven experience in a pre-construction, bid management or development role within the UK construction market;
• Competence in use of industry-standard tools including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD;
• Strong client-facing and communication skills;
• Good knowledge of procurement routes and supply chains;
• Strong understanding of steelwork, facade aluminium and glazing work and/or complex building and infrastructure projects;
• Sound commercial awareness, including cost planning, risk management and contract fundamentals.
