Construction Technician
College location: John Ruskin College (Croydon)
Salary: £28,564.64 (pro rated to £24,999.55 for 38 weeks)
Hours: Full time - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (37 hours/week)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Construction Technician to join our new Construction department at John Ruskin College.
This post would suit an individual who has a background working in various different Construction trades such as Brickwork, Carpentry & Plumbing and understands the basic principles of working within these areas. Candidates will be enthusiastic, self-motivated with excellent communication skills, and with a committed approach to your work you will maintain a high quality learning environment for our learners.
Based in the Construction area of our Technology department this exciting post will involve; supporting students in their learning of practical skills in the workshops, supervising and maintaining workshops ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. You will also be responsible for ordering stock, maintaining a stock of consumables and preparing materials for student activities as well as the cleaning and maintenance of the equipment.
