Key responsibilities of the role include :

• Assisting the Home Manager and / or Deputy Manager with administrative duties as well as nursing / care tasks
• Maintaining overall responsibility of nursing / care management and care governance in the absence of the Home manager, including working as Nurse in charge.
• Medication administration and Care plan quality
• Providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to our residents
• Ensuring resident safety and implementing safeguarding policies
• Team management and shift planning
• Coaching, training and mentoring
• Infection prevention and control
• Liaising with General Practitioners and Multi-Disciplinary Teams
• Assisting the Home Manager with care home inspections and visits where required
