The job itself

The role is for 2 workers to be employed to work together to work 4 hours per week each to support the young man. This is for 22 weeks per weeks.

One of the roles is then extended for a further 22 weeks per year.

Therefore - one role is for 44 weeks per year employment and one role for 22 weeks per year. Both roles are for 4 hours per week.

About the recipient

The individual is male, 18 years old and resides in Cottingham. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them due to having Autism.

They like / enjoy Walking, trampoline, bowling and other activities.

They don’t like going in busy public areas.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

• Assisting the individual with keeping them safe and happy, they should know the needs and ways to deal with individual's needs and disabilities.
• Preferred as one of two workers be male as they will be assisting person in public toilets when going out.
• Assisting with personal care.
• Assisting the individual with accessing activities and spending time out in the community.
• Attending / transporting the individual to social activities and appointments.
• Encouraging social interaction and inclusion and providing emotional support.

Hours

4 hours.
