Hours : 8 : 30am - 3 : 30pm

Salary : £13.69 - £15.87 per hour

Reeson Education is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in the M21 area. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting pupils with PMLD, ASD, SEMH SPD, S&L needs across a varied age range. The position offer the chance to grow within the team and potentially secure a permanent contract with the school.

This specialist SEN school supports pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including PMLD, ASD, PMLD, SEMH, sensory processing difficulties, and communication challenges. Teaching Assistants work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver personalised learning and care.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver classroom support as a Teaching Assistant for pupils with complex needs, including those working below age-related expectations.

Provide 1 : 1, 2 : 1, and small group support to help pupils engage and make progress.

Support pupils with emotional regulation, behavioural challenges, and sensory needs.

Assist with adapting learning resources to meet individual pupil requirements.

Work collaboratively as a Teaching Assistant with staff across the school to ensure consistent and high-quality care.

Offer personal care support where required, always maintaining dignity and respect.Requirements :

Passion for working with children with special educational needs.

Experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting pupils with SEN / SEMH.

Patient, adaptable, and compassionate approach to working with children with complex needs.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to a long-term Teaching Assistant role in a specialist setting.Benefits :
