Primary Teacher - Peterborough - Maternity Cover

Contract : Part-Time or Full-Time

Salary : M1 - M6 (Paid to scale from day one)

Are you a dedicated Primary Teacher with a passion for early years learning? We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Peterborough, currently looking to appoint a Year 1 Primary Teacher on a part-time or full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Primary Teacher to join a vibrant school community where staff are valued, supported, and encouraged to develop professionally.

About the Role :

Teaching a Year 1 class within a well-resourced and inclusive school

Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

Using phonics schemes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds

Collaborating with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil progress

What We're Looking For :

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience in KS1, ideally within Year 1

Strong understanding of early phonics and literacy development

A nurturing, flexible and committed approach to teaching

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
