The Sustainable Infrastructure team, part of the broader Economic
Growth & Natural Capital (EGNC) Portfolio in the Americas Region, partners with mining companies
to design and implement positive impact programs—such as workforce skilling,
reforestation, and sustainable agriculture—that benefit mining communities and
regions. The team works across the entire mining life cycle, helping clients
achieve ESG targets while building the foundation for community resilience
beyond mine closure. The team draws on expertise from the wider EGNC portfolio,
which also works with private sector clients as well as philanthropic bodies
and diverse donors (IDB, USDA, AFD, WB) to support agricultural value chain
development, enhance women’s access to finance, and mobilize capital for
climate-positive initiatives. Overall, the business seeks to unlock and scale
innovative solutions that drive inclusive growth and deliver sustainable value
for communities
Palladium is
seeking a Senior Manager, Sustainable
Infrastructure (Bilingual in English and French (preferred) and / or
Spanish, Portuguese) to bring team management experience and
technical acumen to both business development and project delivery in areas
related to economic development, impact strategy, financial facility design and
innovation, aligned particularly to sector experience in mining, agriculture,
infrastructure, climate, and nature-based solutions. Competitive candidates
should also be able to demonstrate experience working in the closure phase of
the asset life cycle, with an understanding of Post Mining Land Use selection
and program design as well as have experience working with diverse clients in
the mining sector (with footprint in North America) that can add to Palladium’s
portfolio of growing mining sector partners. The Senior Manager will also contribute to business development efforts, including strategic planning, portfolio
forecasting, proposal development, partnering, networking and
recruitment.
Location :
The position is based out of Palladium’s London or Bristow office or may be
based remotely in the UK. Candidate must have UK working rights; sponsorship will not be provided

Roles and Responsibilities :
Project Management
Leading project teamsLeading on proposal writing, budgeting, project planning, project implementation and project reportingIdentifying partners and subcontractors to ensure high quality delivery of resultsWorking with partner organizations (such as subcontractors) on the contractually compliant delivery of agreed inputs and achievement of agreed outputs and outcomesServing as Project Director responsible for quality assurance of deliverables, budget management and client managementBusiness Development
Contribute to the identification, assessment, and pursuit of new business opportunities with a focus on opening business with new clients and broadening Palladium’s work in the closure spaceContribute to the preparation of technical proposals principally targeting private sector and blended finance opportunities with mining sector clients (focus on impact program design & implementation, work with standards setting bodies to enhance community resilience requirements, closure and post mining land use engagementsTechnical Work
Work with the team to develop short-term inputs and / or consultancy assignments on topics such as regional economic development, agriculture, climate finance and nature-based solutions, inclusive business models and capital mobilizationLead technical input into the design, planning and delivery of socioeconomic and environmental impact initiatives, driven by mining companies that also engage private sector, impact funders or development organizations to co-invest in positive impactContribute to research, analysis and publication of technical reports, case studies, policy / program approaches, and results summaries on themes related to community resilience, regional economic development, post mining land use, social and just transition in emerging marketsHelp to identify, build, and maintain relationships with partners and consultants that can provide technical expertise to Palladium-managed projectsStay current on trends and tendencies in the mining sector and track structural, governance and ESG target changes for key clientsWork with others in the EGNC Portfolio to promote and build Palladium’s technical capability, especially regarding work with mining companiesEssential
Criteria :
7+ years of senior-level experience in a client-facing management role on large, private / public sector projects, especially relating to mining industry, regional economic development, closure with exposure to agriculture, climate finance and nature-based solutions5+ years working directly with mining companies as clientsBilingual in English and in either French (preferred), Spanish, or PortugueseStrong networks in the mining and minerals sector; North American footprint preferred but open to other geographiesPreference for experience managing teams across geographies and culturesProven experience in or on emerging market issues and / or contextsExperience leading business development effortsCore
